A substantial number of foreign students participate in several of the courses and academic programmes.
UK DA comprises
- The Royal College of Defence Studies
- The Joint Services Command and Staff College
- The College of Management and Technology
- The Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre
- The International Engagement Group (IEG), which incorporates the National School of Government International and Defence Engagement
The International Engagement Group (IEG) is responsible for the development and delivery of the Building Integrity UK (BI UK) programme with the focus on Building Stability Overseas Strategy (BSOS) priority countries. The programme aims to ensure effective upstream interventions, knowledge transfer and capacity building to reduce the risk of corruption in the defence and security sector and comprises several BI awareness, training, education and concept development, and tailored programme activities. The implementation of the NATO BI programme, including discipline development, education and training is supported by the UK DA.
In the fall of 2013, a UK–Norway bilateral BI discipline development process commenced focusing on education and training, doctrine development, and BI seen in the wider defence and security context. As leading nations in the NATO BI programme, our bilateral cooperation helps spearhead BI discipline development.
Under UK DA lead, supported by Norway and open to other partners, deliverables will be BI curricula development and implementation for individual education and training on all three BI functional areas; current operations, future operations and institution-building.
